Our Story & Heritage

Founded on September 17, 2014, Agrofirm Partner started from a small seed store in Moscow. Today, we’re a fast‑growing domestic seed‑breeding company and acclaimed for producing the highest quality seeds in Russia

Over the past years, the seeds of Agrofirm Partner have become not only recognizable but also highly popular. The company has taken up solid position in the Russian market thanks to its focus on delivering products of the highest quality to the customers.

More than four decades of breeding experience and ten years of in‑field trials allow us to create and introduce best varieties. We bought the parent lines of famous tomato breeder Svetlana Ignatova, and we continue her work with pride. We work with Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy and Institute of Plant Physiology, which are the leading agricultural institutions in Russia

Over the past 10 years, we have registered more than 250 varieties and hybrids of vegetables in the State Register of Selection Achievements. To be more precise - 196 varieties and hybrids of tomatoes, 18 varieties and hybrids of peppers, 15 varieties and hybrids of cucumbers, as well as eggplant, zucchini, onions, melons, radishes, and lettuce.

The stories of people’s passion and work lie under some of these names. For example, such tomato hybrids as “Lyubasha”, “Verochka”, “Sofa” are named after the company CEO’s daughters. “Kotya” and “Christian” are named after the company founder’s sons. “Jack Pot,” “Bingo,” “Marinin,” “Pilot,” “Soyuz,” “Andryusha,” and “Hugo” are also named after some directors, partners, relatives and friends of the company.

Along with developing domestic seed selection we collaborate with top foreign seed producers—Nunhems, Enza Zaden, Syngenta, Bejo, Seminis, Vilmorin, Sakata.

All seeds are tested for germination and matching the varietal characteristics at our demonstration field. For 10 years on a daily basis our professional agronomists and experts have been regularly monitoring all varieties and hybrids. Based on their observations they draw conclusions about the peculiarities of the hybrids’ behavior in various weather conditions, resistance to diseases and taste qualities. The ones which have the best characteristics go on sale.

Agrofirm Partner has its own breeding and seed production complex which stands in Moscow region, city Kolomna. It occupies 18 hectares and is equipped with modern greenhouses, automated packaging lines, and climate‑controlled warehouses. Every year our Agrocomplex expands its production capacity and integrates the latest cutting-edge technologies in its work.

Another vital focus of our company’s work is preserving the achievements of Soviet and Russian plant breeders, continuing and multiplying the traditions of domestic breeding and seed production. In 2022 Agrofirm Partner signed a cooperation agreement with the governor of the Moscow Region, Andrey Yuryevich Vorobyov. The company is actively engaged in Russia’s import substitution program, creating its own bank of unique parental lines, expanding the range of hybrid vegetable seeds, and increasing their production.

The company shares its extensive gardening and farming expertise through video content on its YouTube and RuTube channel “Semena Partner”, on TV programs broadcast by the “Usadba” channel, and across numerous social media platforms (VKontakte, Telegram, Instagram, Odnoklassniki, DZen, Pinterest, TikTok)
